I don't grasp your syntax. I'll rephrase "as long as you don't bother me with your dislikes" (as you seem to adore this statement) into "as long as you hold your opinion for yourself and not try to impose it unto me". This should give you a start for a comprehensible comeback.
For your limited information, my avatar represents the Sigil of Baphomet, relating to Satanism. Cybil was banned for her public display of prejudice. It is explicitly stated in the FAQ that offensive behaviour will not be tolerated. I have stated this all along. Cybil is entitled to her opinion by all means but she is not entitled to disrupt the community with her prejudice musings. I don\'t care that she hates gay people. I do care that she has decided to voice this in public and without meaningful context or provocation.
If anything I\'ve been more lenient to her than I\'d be to regular members. Had a new user spouted similar prejudice, I\'d have banned them without warning and permanently. I would not have warned them as I did cybil giving her opportunity to cease. I also would not have allowed her return had she not been a long standing member.
I have demonstrated repeatedly that I do not give special treatment to promoted members. What I do make exceptions for is tenure and in this entire situation I have made these exemptions.
Seriously if you cannot see this then you are doomed to follow the same path. I butt heads with your family often because of behaviour, not because of who you are. If you behave, I leave you be. If you fight and argue, I intervene.

Actually, I don't think either of you understand.
I'm very aware that it is an opinionated expression, but what you have to understand is the fact that it's wrong to openly insult gays on Animepaper because I'm quite sure that there is a gay population here and if they were to see people being so prejudiced towards them, obviously they would get very offended, and complain.
Not liking a certain race because some reason or another might be someone's opinion, but it's still against rules to just go out and scream your dislike for a group of people in the SB, which is what cybil did.
Do you really think it's right to put down a group of people where anybody and everybody on AP could see, just because you want to express an opinion. I don't. Sometimes opinions are better left unexpressed, and a smart person can hold their tongue.

If I was gay and I took offense to what you\'ve just blatantly stated on cybil\'s UP I would report you and you would probably be justly banned as well.

You failed to reason. cybil was banned for racism, as you can't name it any other way. You are free to hate anything you like as long as you don't bother me with your dislikes (I use 'me' generally here). I advise you to study the whole conflict closely and see that she subsequently displayed a racist behaviour after being warned.
